Adrian Malloch was an award-winning sports and news photographer for twenty four years working for newspapers throughout New Zealand. In 2003 he moved with his family to Auckland and quickly established himself as a freelance photojournalist, commercial photographer and teacher, specialising in photographing real stories about real people, doing real things in real places.

Magazine clients include Metro, North & South, NZ Classic Driver, The Listener, Red Bulletin, NZ Geographic, Kiaroa, Mana and IPENZ Insight. 

Commercial, corporate and advertising clients include the NBR New Zealand Opera, Fullers tours, Rebel Sports, Localist, The Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Ogilvy NZ, MZoo (Sydney ad agency), DraftFCB, Auckland City Council, The NZ Human Rights Commission and more.

From 2004 to 2006 Adrian was the course leader in Photo-journalism at Auckland University of Technology’s Communication Studies Degree/GradDip in Journalism.

Training includes groups and individuals with Photoshop and Lightroom skills, as well as teaching the fundamentals of colour management and its implementation.

Adrian also mentors photographers in developing their art, vision and skills. Clients range from leading professionals to new converts to photography.
